Soxhlets apparatus is used for extraction of oil from the sample of food by using an appropriate solvent like PETROLEUM ETHER, The oil is extracted at a temperature of 60-70°C ,later the combination of oil and solvent is separated to collected the oil.
Solvent extraction is an effective method for extraction of oil from the sample containing low amount of oil.
